Sunday 4th December - Santa's Christmas Tree Party

Sunday 4th December - Santa's Christmas Tree Party

Thanks to all who came to our Christmas Tree party. It was nice to see the excitement of Christmas on the faces and to hear so many talk of their letters to Santa and his elves. And the children seemed to enjoy it all as well. Thanks to Lily and Gege for running the event with their usual aplomb and to John at the bar for the nibbles and refreshments.

It's that time of year again so here's something for everyone, but especially the wee ones. And remember, a well decorated Christmas tree helps Santa find the right place.

GEORGE DRENNAN

GEORGE DRENNAN

Members and friends will be saddened to hear of the sudden passing of George Drennan  on Saturday 29th October. A long standing member of Whiting Bay GC, George was a well kent figure on the course, invariably on a Tuesday morning, and in the village. Always good company, with a ready wit and a fund of entertaining stories, he will be sadly missed, not least by Christine and the family to whom we pass our condolences.

There will be a Church service at Jordanhill Parish Church, on Monday, 7th November at 2pm, followed by funeral at Clydebank Crematorium, at 3.30pm  and thereafter to Hughenden Rugby Club, Glasgow G12 9XP. The family has requested family flowers only please, but donations, if desired, to www.justgiving.co/prostatescotland.
